Full Plot[]

While eating at The Spoon Diner, Buffy encourages Andi to tell Jonah Beck about seeing Amber with another boy. However, Cyrus and Andi are worried about breaking Jonah's heart when he finds the truth. Buffy insists that Jonah deserves to know the truth.

When Jonah notices Andi staring at him, he figures out that she wants to tell him something. He asks Andi what she wants to tell him. Andi tells Jonah that she saw Amber drawing a heart on another boy's palm. Jonah shows Andi a similar heart on his palm to confirm if it was similar. Andi agrees but says Jonah's is cuter. Jonah gets devastated either way and walks away sad. Cyrus and Buffy enter as Jonah walks away. Cyrus is disappointed that Jonah has vulnerabilities like all other humans.

Later that day, Andi gets a text from Jonah's phone asking her to meet him by his locker. She runs right away to Jonah's locker, knocking over everything in her way. On arriving, she's shocked when Amber joins them saying "Amber Alert." It turns out that Amber is the one who texted Andi to prove that she is in love with Jonah and that's why she lied about it. Andi refuses to admit that she likes Jonah and tries to storm off. She goes to the theater to sit alone by herself. Jonah comes over to apologize and make sure everything is okay between them. He tries to explain that maybe she misread the situation but Andi is disappointed that Jonah doesn't believe her. She tells Jonah that he's a good boyfriend but is a terrible friend, at least to her. She refuses to listen to him and forces him to leave her alone.

While practicing on the track field, Buffy meets up with Marty from the party. Marty is the one holding the stopwatch, timing the girls. He introduces himself to Buffy the same way he did in Dancing in the Dark and Buffy responds the same way before remembering that he's the guy who lied about eating a live frog. Marty tells Buffy that she's the fastest on the team but disappoints her by revealing that she's only the fastest girl. Marty is the fastest boy and he's faster than her. This doesn't sit well with the super-competitive Buffy. She sets out to outperform Marty in everything. The two share an exercise session where Buffy shows off and makes sure that she outperforms Marty at everything. She then forces Marty into an impromptu race with her to see who is the fastest. She beats him but Marty claims that it's because he wasn't prepared.

Meanwhile, Bex tries to prove to Celia that she is responsible enough. She buys groceries but instead of Celia being impressed, she only points out the mistakes for not getting the right cereal. Bex rushes to buy another one. After that, Bex starts organizing things in the house but Celia doesn't like the re-organizations. Bex asks her mom to stop treating her like a child, but then she spills apple juice on the computer keyboard, ruining it. Celia says she wishes Bex would grow up already but Bex tells her that this is it. She's grown up. She's home and trying to raise her daughter. She's got a job that she likes and that she's good at. And she lives for the day that Celia would tell her that she's proud of her. But that's not gonna be today.

While Bex is working at The Fringe, Celia comes to visit her. Celia is shocked to find that Brittany is now Bex's boss. Celia and Brittany have a very uncomfortable exchange revealing that they didn't get along when Bex was babysitting Brittany. After Brittany leaves, Celia asks Bex to give her make up so that she and Ham can go to see Wicked together. Bex is proud when Celia says that Bex is good at makeup but then the moment is ruined when Celia brings up the keyboard that Bex fried.

After returning home, Bex finds Buffy and Cyrus violently running a hair dryer on Andi in an attempt to make her sick. Since the incident with Jonah, Andi feels depressed and doesn't want to go to school. She says she wishes she could move away or die. So, Buffy and Cyrus had been trying to help her fake sickness or get her sick just to get away from going to school. But it's not easy and it's painful. Bex surprises them by not only advising them on how to fake being sick but also offers to write Andi a note saying that she is having a mental health day.

While Bex and Celia are fighting about whether or not Andi should go to school, there's a knock on the door. It's Bowie Quinn. Both Bex and Celia are shocked. Bex introduces Andi and Bowie to each other, revealing that Bowie is Andi's dad. Both Bowie and Andi are excited to see each other. Celia freaks out and runs upstairs to call Ham. Bowie jokes that Celia hasn't changed much but looks at Andi and says that everything else has changed.
