Being there felt like old times. But, it's new times now.
Andi and Bex are trying to adjust to living in their new home. Andi in particular is having a tough time because it's not what she is used to. The apartment is too small; electricity keeps blowing off whenever you use more than one appliances at the same time. And Bex is now in charge of doing laundry and she's clearly very bad at it. Getting up in the morning and getting ready for school is a nightmare.
Buffy and Cyrus come to pick Andi up on their way to school but Andi is too ashamed to let them inside the apartment. Andi tells them that the situation is horrible but neither Bex nor Celia is willing to call the other and apologize. Ham is doing his best to convince Celia to call Bex and Andi to come back. Celia gets so worried about losing Andi that she starts crying. Nonetheless, she is not willing to back down and call Bex first.
For a while, Andi tries to keep cool and not complain to Bex. But when she realizes that she's unable to concentrate on her homework, she brings it up. She tells Bex that she needs art supplies. So, they agree to sneak into Andi Shack back in their old home to take some supplies. Unfortunately, they're busted by Celia and Ham while sneaking out of the Andi Shack. Celia gives them food which Andi eats hungrily. Bex refuses to eat but waits for Andi to finish before both of them going back.
The next day, Andi secretly takes her laundry to Celia's house without telling Bex. While Andi is still in the house, Bex comes over to talk about the situation with Celia. Celia doesn't want Bex finding out that Andi is hiding in the house. So, she tries to keep conversation short without letting Bex inside the house. During the talk, Bex realizes how much Andi means to Celia and why Celia wants Andi back. After Bex leaving, Andi pops out and tells Celia that was too close. She goes to their apartment and finds Bex waiting for her. She lies to Bex that she was studying at Buffy's but Bex can easily tell that Andi is lying. Bex catches Andi in the lie by pointing out that she can see laundry stacked in her bag. She tells Andi that it's okay to get take her laundry to Celia. The only problem is lying to her. Andi promises to never go behind Bex's back.
Bex tries to warm the frozen lasagna for them to eat but the oven is not working and the microwave blows up. This makes her feel like she's failed Andi. So, she asks Andi to pack her bags. She takes her back to Celia's house and asks Celia and Ham to feed her. Bex leaves Andi and tells her that she's doing what's best for Andi. After being left with Ham and Celia, Andi finds it difficult to adjust to the way things were before Bex came back. So, she asks them to take her back to Bex. Bex is surprised to see that Andi chose to stay with her and push through it together. Andi tells Bex that she thought she wanted things to be the way they were but these are new times. She wants to be with Bex, her mom. Bex is so happy to hear Andi call her mom for the first time. They both share a big hug. Now they're ready to take on the world together in this new home away from home.
Cyrus tells Buffy that he had bought four tickets to "sports" as part of a second double-date with Jonah Beck, Amber and Iris. However, Iris hasn't been responding to Cyrus's texts since Cyrus puked into his own show in the first date. So, Cyrus has concluded that Iris dumped him. She asks Buffy to go as his date, just for the day. Buffy agrees half-heartedly but tells Cyrus that he owes her big-time.
On the day of the double-date, Buffy keeps making Jonah Beck impressions while waiting for Jonah and Amber to show up. Jonah tells Cyrus that Iris and Amber are not coming because they're mad at Cyrus for moving on to another girl (Buffy). It turns out Iris hadn't really dumped Cyrus. She was giving him the silent treatment, probably after being encouraged by Amber to do so since Amber often gives Jonah the silent treatment.
Cyrus takes the girls absence as good news and a chance for him to finally get to spend time with Jonah Beck. He asks Buffy to leave so that he and Jonah Beck can continue the date, by just themselves. That's what Amber would have wanted. Buffy leaves the boys alone and is disappointed that Cyrus is so quick to blow her off for Jonah Beck.
After the "date" with Jonah Beck, Cyrus happily shows Buffy all the pictures he took with Jonah. Buffy asks Cyrus to give her his new cool jacket for asking her on a date and then blowing her off. But Cyrus tells her that he has to wear the jacket because he and Jonah bought matching jackets and had planned to wear them together at the same time. To cheer Buffy up, he offers to show the pictures of him with Jonah Beck again. Buffy declines.
To Cyrus' disappointment, Buffy points out that Jonah Beck is wearing a different jacket. Cyrus walks over to ask Jonah about it. Jonah tells him that he chose not to wear the matching jacket because it would make them look like dorks. Cyrus tries to play it cool but he's deeply heartbroken by Jonah's comment.
Buffy comforts Cyrus after the heartbreak and Cyrus surrenders the jacket to Buffy.
