Full Plot[]

At The Spoon Diner, Jonah Beck is eating taters with Amber and her high school friends. Amber's friends start teasing Jonah about his Space Otters Frisbee Team, saying that Ultimate Frisbee isn't even a real sport. Amber laughs with them. This really upsets Jonah. When Andi enters the diner, Jonah says hi to her but she responds and quickly moves along to the table where Cyrus is seating, implying that there's still tension between them. Amber figures out that something is going on between them and when Jonah tells her that Andi quit the team, Amber mockingly wonders who would ever quit on Jonah's team.

At Cyrus and Andi's table, Cyrus keeps looking at Jonah and waving at him. Jonah waves back. Andi is not happy about it because she's trying to live a Jonah-free lifestyle. But Cyrus misses Jonah and wishes they could go back to the times where they liked Jonah. Andi and Cyrus leave the Spoon Diner and Jonah follows them. This upsets Amber who walks after him to confront him for liking Andi. Jonah refuses to deny that he likes Andi. Amber tells Jonah that Andi likes him too and if she looks back, it means she likes him more than a friend. Jonah doesn't want to wait and find out. So, he walks away. Andi looks back. Then Cyrus turns back to look at Jonah too, implying that, by Amber's theory, he likes Jonah too. And not just as a friend.

Later at school, Jonah meets up with Cyrus and asks him what's going on with Andi. Cyrus feels bad for Jonah that Andi is freezing him out. He promises Jonah that Andi will forgive him soon and things will go back to normal. Just about then, Andi turns and comes towards Jonah, making Jonah believe that she's coming to hug him. Jonah goes for the hug but Andi passes him and goes to hug her dad, Bowie, who just returned to town. Jonah is so stressed by this that he even decides to cancel the Space Otters team practice.

Bowie apologizes to Andi for not respecting her privacy and Andi apologizes in turn for overreacting. He tells Andi that he failed to return her texts because he wanted to give her space. Andi argues that there has to be some middle ground between being all over her business and disappearing completely. Bowie promises to work on it and tells Andi that he's now finally back because the universe told him to. He shows her different pictures of Bex he found while playing at different concerts with his band. That was the universe telling him to come back to Bex. So, Andi takes Bowie to Bex who is currently plant-sitting at their parents' house while Celia and Ham are out of town. Bowie helps Bex water the plants by letting the plants "tell him what they want."

After dinner, Andi asks Bowie to play the song he wrote for Bex. Judging from how Andi asks, Bex realizes that it's a setup: Andi and Bowie had planned it all along. Bowie's song gets them in a good mood. They even dance together as a family. And for the first time, Andi has her complete family, happy together. She goes to bed happy. Early the following day, she wakes Bex up to ask her how it went with Bowie. To her disappointment, Bowie has left. Andi doesn't understand why he had to leave. She says Bex and Bowie had such great chemistry last night. They're clearly designed to be together. But Bex emphasizes that whatever chemistry Andi saw was purely just Bex and Bowie being good old friends. There's nothing more between them. Bex doesn't want to let Bowie in because Bowie is unpredictable. Not dependable. He's not someone they can rely on. Andi is disappointed.

Meanwhile, Buffy finally buys Marty a pair of sneakers to replace the ones she dumped in the girls toilet in She's Turning Into You. At first, Marty doesn't completely trust Buffy. So, he thinks it's a prank or something but Buffy opens the box. They agree to finally race the next day and figure out which one of them is the fastest. During the race, Buffy and Marty start by exchanging their usual flirty witty banter. The reality then hits them. If they race, they lose whatever they have between them. It means they can no longer enjoy their fiery conversations about who's the fastest. Ever again. They ask Cyrus to hold off so that they can discuss the issue first.

Buffy asks Marty if he will continue talking to her if they race and she wins. Marty replies by asking her the same question. Buffy admits that she wishes she could say yes, but they both know that she's not the most gracious loser. Marty admits that he's the same too. So, since they don't want to lose whatever is going on between them, they agree to call off the race.

Jonah texts Amber to meet up with him. Amber comes in apologizing for being a bad girlfriend. She blames Kip and her other friends for making fun of Jonah's "Space Ferrets" and apologizes for not defending Jonah. After seeing that Jonah is still mad, Amber asks if it has anything to do with Andi but Jonah refuses. He tells Amber that he's breaking up with her. Amber is shocked. She can't believe Jonah would dare to break up with her. He's in middle school. He's so lucky to be dating her! Jonah doesn't change his mind. He asks Amber to give back the bracelet that she took from him that Andi had made for him in Outside the Box. Amber angrily drops the bracelet and leaves, threatening that Jonah will regret this decision.

Later on, Andi finds Bowie shopping for a jacket. She goes to talk to him and mentions that Bex still loves him but thinks he's not dependable. Bowie agrees that Bex has a point and promises that he will do his best to prove that they can depend on him. In fact, he reveals that he's quit his band so that he can stick around in town and prove to Bex that he's ready.

While looking for the price tag on the jacket, Bowie finds an engagement ring inside one of the pockets. What's he going to do with the ring? Ask Bex to marry him? Someone clearly wants him to marry Bex. It must be The Universe!!!
